DRAG is a futuristic and physics-based racing title! In DRAG, you will have to reach the finish line first by any means necessary, even if it means destroying the competition. DRAG was developed and published by Orontes Games and got released on August 11th, 2020. When DRAG came out, it received quite positive reviews from the community for being a smooth but yet challenging racing experience to play with friends and by yourself! DRAG is one of those games that you will have to spend a lot of time in since the learning curve is pretty deep. If you are all about that stuff, then why not try DRAG?
To start with, I would say that DRAG really doesn’t have a Story Mode or anything like that, but still encourages you to play by yourself in order to improve your skills! Game modes such as “Challenges”, “Special Events” and “Time Trial” will really help you with that! In “Challenges”, you will be tasked to finish a certain section of the map within a specific time. It is a perfect place to retry until you get the best possible medal! What I really like about the Challenge Mode is the variety of parts and tracks that you will be able to test your skill on!
The Special Events Mode is quite similar to Challenge Mode since both of these modes actually encourage you to perfect the different sections! It might sound easy, but trust me, it isn’t! It will take a lot of practice getting used to the physics of DRAG, but once you have gotten used to it, the driving can feel quite nice! Last but not least recommended for you whenever you play alone, the Time Trial Mode! It is pretty much what you would expect from a time trial in a racing game, funny isn’t it? For those who don’t know, the “Time Trial” will allow the player to race repeatedly as they strive for a better time. It is truly one of the best ways to improve your time in most cases!
When it comes to the gameplay and the aspect of controls, there are actually some things that are worth mentioning! The game is indeed hard to master, but yet the controls are really simple. They are simple in a way that you will most likely only use the arrow keys whenever you play DRAG. And it is surprisingly difficult! I remember turning a corner for the first time and seeing my car become a pile of scrap! I really feel like learning the mechanics and mastering them is very addicting. And then we have the icing on the cake itself, the Online Mode. Nothing is more fun than crashing into the vehicles of your foes after a cheeky move! It is a perfect game to play, especially if you would like to ruin friendships! When it comes to the atmosphere of DRAG, I really like the mix between the green nature along with the futuristic elements such as the force field. The soundtrack combined with the mud flying all over the place really reminds me of the days when I used to play titles from the Motorstorm franchise. Nonetheless, DRAG really makes the experience challenging and I absolutely love it! It makes me want to play until I become the very best on most of the tracks.
But at the end of the day, I would strongly suggest picking up DRAG if you would like to experience a racing game with hardcore elements. Other than that, I would recommend playing a more casual racing game if you are looking for a title to play with your friends or by yourself and that is especially if you are new to the racing genre. If the hardcore element isn’t for you, then I would say that you should pick up a racing title with more arcade gameplay! But hey, I can’t blame you for having a desire to absolutely outplay your friends when playing DRAG!

Summary
In the end, DRAG is a good example of a hardcore racing game done right! I might actually come back for more destruction, but only if it means winning over my friends!
