LTFC in the House!
In order to raise the profile of Luton Town Football Club, and the predicament we are in, we have been liaising with local MP's. As a result of this, representations have been made by both Margaret Moran and Nadine Dorries to the Treasury and Sports Ministers. To keep the profile high, Nadine has kindly agreed to organise a debate on Friday in the House of Commons. This debate will use LTFC as a 'case study' but will also make it applicable to the wider footballing community in order to help clubs that may face our situation in the future.
As a result of the above, Nadine has told us that it will help our case hugely if we can organise 10-15 fans to be present in the public gallery of the House. This is not for vocal support (!) but rather so Nadine can say, if needed, "It means so much to fans that we have some here today, etc". If allowed it would be great if each person could wear a Luton top, scarf, identifier of some kind.
The attendees would need to be at the House around 1pm. After matters of the day, our issue will be discussed circa 3pm. The House finishes at 5pm so this would be the latest that people can get away. (I will confirm these arrangements to those who can attend in the next 48 hours).
If you, or someone you know, can offer your help in attending the House of Commons on Friday, please email info@trustinluton.org as soon as possible. This is a great opportunity to support the Club, raise our profile and potentially help LTFC2020 in their negotiations with the Football League, HMRC and PFA.
I thank you for you support in advance.
