COMMITTEE REITERATE INVITATION TO JOHN GURNEY
The Trust interim Committee would like to restate their offer of a meeting to John Gurney, to be held at a neutral venue, in order to discuss the situation at the Club. In the interests of openness and accountability, we propose that the media be in attendance.
Mr Gurney accepted the Committee's invitation live on BBC Three Counties Radio, but has not made any further contact, despite having received a fax and a letter confirming the offer. The Committee feel that this meeting in this format would be in everyone's best interests; this will allow the Trust's aims to be clarified for Mr Gurney's benefit as some of his recent statements indicate that he is labouring under a number of misapprehensions.
