Trust in Luton Official Statement

"The Trust Committee would like to state that Yvonne Fletcher's meeting with Mr. John Gurney and Mr. David Kohler was unknown to us. Ms. Fletcher has apparently taken this step in a personal capacity and not as a Trust member (she is not an officer on the interim Committee), and we would like to distance ourselves from it. David Kohler is not involved with the Trust in any way, shape or form, and his name has not been mentioned at any Committee meetings.

We would, however, like to reiterate that our advice to supporters not to renew season tickets still stands, and would urge them to take part in our pledge scheme. Contrary to Mr. Gurney's claims, all on the Committee and all of the 3,000 Trust members that have signed up in such quick succession (and whom Mr. Gurney so disparages) have the best interests of the Club at heart and are working their hardest to secure its future. We would also like to point out that the Trust have never had representation on the board, as the Trust was only given the mandate to proceed last Saturday. Mr. Gurney still has not contacted the Trust's Chair, as he was invited to do via fax, letter and phone earlier in the week, and we await this with anticipation."
