Trust in Luton Statement
COMMITTEE URGE FANS TO STAND FIRM
The Trust in Luton Interim Committee today asks Luton fans to unite and refuse to renew season tickets before tomorrow's discount deadline.
With over a quarter of a million promised via the Trust's Pledge scheme so far, the Club are well aware that there is a lot of money out there that they will not be getting from the fans, their biggest single source of income, until the Club's future is secure.
Interim Trust Chairman Tony Murray said:
"Some supporters might be worried that if they don't renew now they may lose their usual seat, and also might lose the chance of the small discount. Many of the Trust Committee are in exactly the same boat. It might mean a minimal price increase, but the most important thing is the club's long term future and we feel it's a small sacrifice to make.
"We also promise supporters that when the issues that concern us all, about the ownership and the finances of the club are resolved, we will do our utmost as an intermediary between the fans and the Club to get the discounts to remain available to those who have signed up to the Trust's Pledge scheme."
Pledge forms are available from any one of the eight Luton Borough Libraries or from the Arndale Centre Information Point, or are downloadable from www.trustinluton.com, where there is also an e-mailable form.
Over 1100 fans have joined the Trust already and anyone wanting to add their support by signing up to the organisation can get a Trust application forms from the Trust website and the same outlets as the Pledge forms.

COMMITTEE RESPONSE TO FOOTBALL LEAGUE STATEMENT
After the Football League's statement released this afternoon, the Trust in Luton Interim Committee would like to state its support for the League's actions.
The Committee's concerns over the Club's financial security and its stability in the future are obviously shared by the authorities. The League's decision to withhold television monies from the Club vindicates the fans' refusal to renew season tickets and sponsorships, and we would like to reiterate our advice to pledge money via the Trust's pledge scheme instead of giving it to the Club.
However, we would ask the League to reconsider their decision should the situation at the Club change and the current owners either leave or reformulate their business plans.
