Trust in Luton new committee statement
Fresh from their approval at a public meeting on Saturday, the new Trust in Luton interim committee met last night and would like to issue the following statement.
Their main areas of concern at the moment are as follows:
New Manager Vote
Who is ratifying the results of this poll?
Will the results of this poll be available for scrutiny?
We will be asking the Football League for clarification of their regulations regarding approaching managers under contract, as several of the individuals named on the "shortlist" that the Club released today are already contracted elsewhere.
We will also be seeking a comment from the League Managers' Association with regard to their official stance with regards to the Manager Vote.
The Trust in Luton interim committee would like to ask all supporters to refuse to participate in this Vote.
Season Ticket Renewals
We would like to reiterate that the deadline for season ticket renewals is 30th June 2003.
We would like to ask people to refrain from renewing at least until then and until the new owners' plans for the Club are somewhat clearer.
Merger with MK Dons
We would like to make clear our belief that no football club but AFC Wimbledon should have the opportunity to purchase the MK Dons.
We will be seeking clarification of the official regulations regarding the purchase and proposed mergers of league clubs.
